Basics

Founded in 1970, EIC today represents Member Federations from 16 European countries. The association is registered since 1984 as a non-profit organisation under German law in Berlin.

The goals of EIC are:

  • to represent and promote the interests of the European construction industry in all matters relating to the international construction business;
  • to foster the exchange of views with international and other relevant organisations in order to improve the political, financial, economic and legal environment for European international contractors; and
  • to offer European contractors a unique forum for the exchange of experience in all matters relating to the international construction business.

The policy of EIC is determined by the Board in accordance with the general guidelines set by the General Assembly.

In order to achieve its goals, EIC is active in communicating with with all international, European and professional organisations whose policy is of relevance to the international construction business.
