Focus
The ever growing complexity connected with international
construction activities forces European international contractors
today to consider and adapt to a much larger number of international
and national regulations governing the execution of construction
works abroad. As markets, competitors and challenges are in
constant change, so are the strategic options of the companies.
EIC supports its members by gathering information on and lobbying
for adequate national and international operating conditions
in third markets. It serves its members as an important tool
where they can exchange their individual experience and take
advantage of networking oppotunities.
Corresponding with its priority tasks and objectives, EIC
puts an emphasis on the legal and financial framework conditions
ruling the execution of contracts abroad. With its two Working
Groups on Contract Conditions and Finance,
EIC examines the status quo of the industry in the particular
area, liases with key decision-makers, e.g. FIDIC, and defines
its own opinions to the issues.
In collaboration with its Member Federations, EIC organises
twice a year, in connection with its General Assemblies, specific
Workshops on topic-related aspects of international construction.
The Workshops are designed to bring together many entrepreneurs
from all Member Federations and to collect inside and outside
expertise in order to reach new insights.
